Hey all, just got my first compressor and nailer. What safety gear do you guys use? I'm on a budget so hoping to avoid buying stuff i don't really need.

Always wear safety glasses! Even a tiny piece of debris from a nail gun can blind you. Ear plugs too, those things are loud. Don't skimp on those.

I'd add gloves for handling hoses and fittings - you don't want an air blast near a cut. And check your whip hose rating; cheap ones burst. OSHA says 150 psi rated minimum.

Lol I just wear my regular work boots and jeans. Air tools ain't that dangerous if you got common sense. But yeah, eye pro is a must. I got a pair for $5 at Harbor Freight.

Dave, common sense is rare. And $5 glasses aren't impact rated. Spend $15 at least. Also, never point a nailer at anything but the workpiece. Seen too many accidents.
