Hey y'all, just wanted to share a quick reminder. Was using my little pancake compressor to blow off some dust from a job site, and the hose fitting blew off right next to my face. No injury, but scared the crap out of me. I always wear safety glasses now, but that could've been bad. Anyone else got a PPE story?

Glad you're ok, Sam. I had a similar thing with a nail gun once – always wear ear pro too, compressors are loud af. Also, check your quick connects regularly, they wear out. I keep a spare set in my truck.

Heard that. When I was still doing carpentry, I had a hose burst near my leg. Now I always use those braided hoses and stand to the side when pressurizing. Also, a little tip: drain your tank daily to prevent rust and blowouts.

Good point Sam. For those running air tools, don't forget impact-rated eye pro when using impact wrenches. I've had a socket shatter. Also, if you're painting, get a respirator, not just a dust mask. Over-spray is nasty.

Great advice everyone. I'm ordering a new hose and some extra safety glasses tonight. Stay safe out there!
