So I just saw this article about Trane Technologies shares being sold by Richard Bernstein Advisors. I know they make HVAC stuff, but do any of you think this affects the air compressor market? I'm in the market for a new one and want to make sure I'm not buying from a sinking ship. Thoughts?

Dude, don't overthink it. Trane is a big fish, and one institutional investor selling doesn't mean much. Their air compressors are solid, I've had one for 5 years with zero issues. Just buy what fits your needs, not the stock ticker.

I agree with Rick. But hey, if you're worried, check out other brands like Quincy or Ingersoll Rand. That being said, Trane's not going anywhere. And their customer service is pretty good, which matters more than stock fluctuations.

Ha! This reminds me of when I saw a dip in DeWalt's stock and thought about selling my tools. My wife said 'no, you need those for projects.' She was right. Point is, don't let the market drive your tool purchases. Buy quality, and that's what matters.

Good points, everyone. I guess I was just overthinking it. I'll probably go with Trane anyway since I found a good deal. Thanks for the reality check!
