Don't Skimp on Safety Glasses When Using Impact Wrenches!

Hey everyone, quick safety tip. I was using my impact wrench the other day to take off some lug nuts, and a piece of rust flew off and hit me right in the eye. Lucky I was wearing safety glasses, but they were cheap ones and got scratched up. Still, better than an eye injury. Just a reminder to always wear PPE, even for quick jobs. And maybe invest in some decent glasses, not the $2 ones. Your eyes are worth more!

Right on, Felix. I've been in this trade for 40 years, and I've seen too many guys lose an eye or get seriously injured because they thought they were too tough for safety gear. The cheap glasses are better than nothing, but invest in a good pair with anti-fog coating and maybe even side shields. I've got a pair with bifocal inserts now—age is a pain! Ha. But seriously, keep your eyes protected, fellas.

@DIYDave295 I actually bought a pair from a hardware store that's got rubber nose pads and adjustable temples. They were about $15, but way better. They have a clear lens and some have a light tint for outdoors. Check the PPE section. And @LevelLarry357, haha, yeah, I might need bifocals soon too! But my wife already has a pair of those 'old man' glasses for me. Safety first, especially as we get older!
