Hey guys, I was browsing at a local hardware store and saw a DeWalt 20V Max XR impact wrench on clearance for $99. I think it's normally $200+. I do some DIY car stuff, but I'm more of a woodworker. Should I jump on this? Is it worth it for occasional use?

That's a killer deal! As long as it's genuine and not refurbished or something. Check the battery and charger too. If it's just the tool, you might need to factor in battery costs. I've got a similar one and it's solid for lug nuts and suspension bolts. Go for it, Will!

Pfft, for $99 you'd be crazy not to buy it! I've got the same one and it's a beast. I've used it on everything from rusty bolts to stubborn axle nuts. It'll pay for itself in no time. Just make sure you get a decent set of impact sockets, not the regular chrome ones. They'll shatter.

Thanks for the input! I think I'll grab it tomorrow. I do have a couple of 20V batteries from my drill, so that's a plus. Sarah, good tip on the impact sockets - I'll pick up a set. Appreciate it, guys!

Good choice, Will! Just remember to wear safety glasses when using it. Impact wrenches can throw debris and snap bolts, so don't skip the PPE. Happy wrenching! Let us know how it works out.
