Snapped up a Dewalt Impact Wrench for $99 – Too Good to Be True?

So I was at the pawn shop today and found a barely used Dewalt 20V Max impact wrench (DCF899) for $99. They said it was a trade-in, no battery included. Retails around $250. I've been wanting one for lug nuts but not sure if it's a good idea to buy used powertools. Any thoughts? Should I pull the trigger? It's got some scuffs but looks solid.

Haha, yeah I don't have any Dewalt batteries – I'm all Ryobi right now. That's another $150+ for a battery and charger. So total would be around $250, which is still less than new but not the crazy deal I thought. Hmm, maybe I should pass and wait for a sale on a Ryobi. Or is this a sign to switch? lol

Man, don't switch just for that. Ryobi is fine for home use. But if you're serious about working on cars, that Dewalt is a different level. You could also look for a battery on Facebook Marketplace or some knockoff brand – they work okay. Just saying, I've seen guys run Harbor Freight batteries with adapters. But yeah, if you're not ready to invest, stick with Ryobi. You'll find a good deal eventually.
