Best car vacuum for cleaning up after deck build? Need recommendations!

Hey all, just finished building a deck and my car is full of sawdust, screws, and random debris. I need a good car vacuum that can handle this mess. Any suggestions? I've been looking at the Shop-Vac 2.5 Gallon but not sure if it's overkill. Budget around $100. Also, corded or cordless? I want something that won't die after 10 minutes. Thanks!

I've used the DeWalt 20V MAX cordless vacuum for years. It's not the most powerful, but with a 5Ah battery, it lasts long enough to clean my truck after a job. The crevice tool is great for getting between seats. If you already have DeWalt batteries, it's a no-brainer. Otherwise, the corded version might be better for heavy debris.

Honestly, for fine sawdust, you need a vacuum with a HEPA filter or you'll just blow it around. I use a Rigid 4.5 gallon wet/dry vac with a HEPA filter. It's bulky but gets everything. For car-specific, the Black+Decker BDH2000PL is popular but the filter clogs fast with sawdust. If you're mostly dealing with wood debris, go with a small wet/dry vac. Corded is fine if you have an outlet nearby.

I bought a cheap Amazon cordless vacuum for my car and it was useless for sawdust. Upgraded to a Bissell Cleanview Deluxe corded canister and it's a beast. The hose is long enough to reach everywhere. Only downside is the cord, but I just run an extension cord from the garage. For $80, it's hard to beat. Just make sure you empty it often or it loses suction.
