Best car vacuum for cleaning up sawdust and wood shavings?

Hey folks! I've been building a small shed in my backyard and the amount of sawdust and wood shavings that end up in my truck is unreal. I'm looking for a car vacuum that can handle that kind of mess. I don't want to spend a fortune, but I need something that actually works. Any recommendations?

It's compact, has decent suction, and comes with crevice tools. I've had mine for years. Just make sure to empty it often because sawdust clogs quickly. If you want to splurge a bit, the DeWalt cordless is a beast, but it's pricey.

I gotta second what Pete said. I got the big Rigid shop vac but it's too bulky for car use. I ended up buying a small corded one from Home Depot for like $30. It's a Workhorse and it's been reliable. But if you really want to go pro, get a Dustopper attachment for a bucket. It turns any vacuum into a cyclone separator. Keeps the filter clean and sucks up sawdust like a champ. Just hook it to a small vac.

Thanks guys! I'll look into that Armor All one. I like the sound of the Dustopper too, but I'm not sure if it fits my current vacuum. I have a little Black+Decker that's not great. Maybe it's time for an upgrade. Any specific models you'd recommend that are easy to store in the truck?

If storage is key, grab a cordless stick vac. I've seen the Milwaukee cordless at work and it's got great suction, but it's pricey. For a good middle ground, the Ridgid cordless hand vac with a car kit is pretty sweet. It comes with a hose and crevice tools, and it mounts on the wall easily. I keep mine in the garage and it's always ready. Alternatively, get a compact wet/dry vac like the Armor All and just keep it in the cab under the seat – it fits.
