DeWalt or Makita car vacuum? Which one sucks better? LOL

Alright guys, I'm in the market for a cordless car vacuum. I've narrowed it down to the DeWalt DCV517B or the Makita XLC02ZB. I'm on a tight budget so I want the best bang for my buck. Which one has better suction and battery life? I already have a couple of DeWalt 20V batteries, but I'm willing to switch if Makita is that much better. Anyone used both? Thanks!

I've got the DeWalt and it's a beast for the price. Suction is great for crumbs and pet hair. But honestly, if you already have DeWalt batteries, stick with DeWalt. The Makita might be slightly better built, but you'll be buying into a new battery platform. Unless you plan to expand your Makita collection, it's not worth it. Just my 2 cents.

I bought the Makita XLC02ZB last year and I love it. It's lightweight and the suction is surprisingly strong. I don't have any DeWalt batteries so it made sense for me. But if you're on a budget and already have DeWalt, go with DeWalt. You can't go wrong either way. Just make sure you get a filter kit, the stock filter clogs fast.

I collect both brands and I have to say, the Makita feels more premium. The DeWalt is plasticky but works fine. For car detailing, I actually prefer the Makita because it's more compact and easier to maneuver in tight spots. But if you're already invested in DeWalt, it's a no-brainer. Save your money for other tools. Also, check out the Ryobi if you're really budget-conscious, but that's a whole other rabbit hole.
