DeWalt vs Makita for car vacuum - which one is worth it?

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a cordless car vacuum. I've been looking at the DeWalt and Makita options, both seem solid. I mostly use it for quick cleanups after DIY projects in my garage and car. Which one would you recommend? I'm not a pro, just a weekend warrior. Also, I already have batteries for both (18V/20V max), so that's not a deciding factor. Cheers!

Honestly, for car vacuuming, I'd go with the Makita. I've used both on job sites for years. The Makita has better suction and the filter seems to last longer. DeWalt's is not bad, but it feels a bit bulkier in tight spaces. Also, Makita's new model has a rubber nozzle that won't scratch your paint if you accidentally bump it. That's a big plus for a car. But if you're just doing light dust, either will do.

I've had the DeWalt for about a year now. No complaints, but I don't have much experience with the Makita. One thing I like is that it comes with a brush attachment that's great for getting dog hair out of seats. Suction is decent, but it does die pretty quick on the standard battery. I usually keep a spare charged. Have either of you had any battery issues with the Makita?

@DIYDave801 I haven't noticed any battery drain issues with my Makita, but I also use the 5Ah batteries, not the standard ones. I'm sure the smaller ones wouldn't last as long. And I've heard that the DeWalt can be a bit of a battery hog, so that's a point for Makita in my book. Also, the Makita has a nice blow function that I use to clear dust out of tool crevices - that's a neat trick.

Thanks for the inputs, guys! I think I'm leaning towards the Makita now, especially since I've got 5Ah batteries for it too. The blow function sounds handy. I'll check out a few reviews on the rubber nozzle. Appreciate the help!
