Found a Deal on a Car Vacuum - Worth It?

Hey folks, just saw a Black+Decker 12V car vacuum on sale for $25 (reg $40). I've got a pickup and the interior gets full of sawdust and gravel. Is this thing worth it or will it just underperform? Anyone used it?

I've got that one. For quick pickups, it's ok. But don't expect Shop-Vac power. It'll handle crumbs and dust, but for gravel you might need to get the crevice tool right on it. Honestly, for $25, it's a decent little tool to keep in the truck. Just don't drop it, the plastic clip that holds the filter is fragile - I broke mine twice.

I've got a buddy with that one. He runs a restoration biz and uses it for car interiors after detailing. He says it's fine for light duty, but for the money, he actually prefers the 18V handheld that shares batteries with his drill. If you already have a 12V or 18V system, might be better to get a bare tool and use existing batteries. Otherwise, $25 is a no-brainer for a dedicated one.

Ya'll are overthinking this. For $25, just buy it. If it sucks, you're out a few bucks, but it'll probably do what you need. I keep one in the shop for quick cleanups, not just in the car. It's a mini vacuum, not a miracle worker. Just be sure to empty the dust cup before it's full, or the suction drops fast.
