Hey all, saw this DeWalt 20V MAX cordless car vac (DCV580) at Home Depot for only $79! Normally $129. I need a vac for the car and occasional workshop cleanup. Is this thing worth it or should I pass?

I've got that exact vac. It's got great suction for a cordless, but the filter clogs fast if you're dealing with fine dust. For car use it's perfect. But if you want a workshop vac, get the bigger 5-gallon one. The hose on this is kinda short.

Agree with Rick. The DeWalt is solid for cars. If you're anal about crevices like me, get the optional crevice tool kit. Makes a world of difference. Also, check the battery - if you don't have a 20V Max system, factor in cost.

I've got like 5 car vacs, lol. DeWalt is good, but for $79 you can get a plug-in Rigid that's way more powerful. Unless you need cordless, I'd go with the Rigid. But if you already have DeWalt batteries, this is a no-brainer.
