Just saw this article about Harbor Freight's new $45 handheld vacuum. Claims it's great for car interiors. Anyone tried it yet? I'm skeptical at that price point.

I picked one up last week. For $45 it's not bad. Suction is decent for crumbs and dust, but don't expect it to pick up gravel or wet messes. Good for quick touch-ups between proper detailing.

I've got one. It's lightweight and the crevice tool is handy for tight spots. But the battery life is only about 15 mins on full power. Fine for a small car, but my truck takes two charges.

I just checked the specs: 12V, 2.5 amp motor. Not bad for $45. But be careful not to overheat it. I'd take breaks every 10 mins. Also, the filter is washable which is nice.

I've used it on a few job sites for quick cleanup. It's no Shop-Vac, but it's fine for the glove box. Remember to empty the bin often or it loses suction. For the price, it's a tool I don't mind abusing.
