Just finished building a big deck in the back and realized I don't have a decent way to clean up sawdust and leaves. I need a car vac that's also good for outdoor debris. Any recommendations? Don't want to spend a fortune but don't want junk either.

Dude, get a Shop-Vac. The 5-gallon one is perfect for deck cleanup and works in the car too. I've had mine for years. Brand loyalty aside, they just work.

Agree on the Shop-Vac, but if you want something cordless for the deck, look at the Makita XCV07. It's pricey but a beast. I use it on job sites daily. For car use, it's overkill but it'll suck up anything.

I got a DeWalt DCV580 and it's great for quick pickups. Batteries last a while. But if you're on a budget, the Rigid wet/dry vacs from Home Depot are solid and not too spendy.

Thanks guys! I'll check out the Shop-Vac and maybe the Rigid. Don't think I need cordless since the deck is close to an outlet. Appreciate the help!
