Just saw this deal - Shark vacuum for $99, down from $199! Is it actually any good for a workshop or just for the house? I've been using a shop vac but it's bulky. Any thoughts?

Man, that's a steal! I've got the Shark Navigator and it's awesome for quick cleanups after sanding. Not as powerful as my big Rigid shop vac, but for the price, you can't beat it. Plus it's got HEPA filter, so fine dust is no problem. I'd say grab it!

I've used Sharks on job sites. They're decent for light debris, but don't expect it to handle Drywall dust or chunks of wood. Stick to a proper shop vac for heavy stuff. But for $99? I'd snag it for the wife's car or the house. Beats the heck out of dragging the big vac out.

Totally agree with Tim. I've burned through two Sharks - they're not built for daily pro use. The motor burns out if you push them too hard. But for a homeowner or DIYer? Perfect. Great for upholstery and tight spaces. And at half price, it's a no-brainer. Just don't expect it to replace your shop vac.
