Hey guys, so I was vacuuming out my car yesterday and got a face full of dust. Should I be wearing a dust mask or something? I feel dumb for not thinking about it sooner.

Dude, absolutely yes. Especially if you're using a shop vac, those things kick up all sorts of fine particles. I wear a N95 at least. Your lungs will thank you later.

I always wear a mask when vacuuming cars. Not just dust, but mold spores and chemicals from old spills. I got a half-face respirator with P100 filters, overkill maybe but I feel safe.

Thanks guys. I'll pick up some N95s. Any brand recommendations? Or are they all pretty much the same?

3M is the gold standard for me. The 8210s are fine. Just make sure it's NIOSH approved. Don't cheap out on lung protection, man.
