Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my chainsaw. It's a 18V cordless model, battery was fully charged, but now it just clicks and won't start. Battery indicator shows green though. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Sounds like the battery might be making poor contact or the saw's electronics are acting up. Check the terminals for corrosion or dirt. Also, try a different battery if you have one. Could be the BMS in the battery has given up the ghost. I've seen that happen.

Another thing to check is the switch or trigger assembly. Sometimes moisture gets in and causes a short. Also, give the saw a good tap on the side - might be a stuck brush. But if it's brushless, could be the controller module. Good luck!

I had a similar issue with my saw. Turned out the battery was fine but the saw's motor had a loose wire. Check the connections inside the handle. Also, make sure the chain brake isn't engaged or something silly like that. Let us know what you find!
