Hey all, had a nasty kickback yesterday while limbing. Luckily I was wearing my helmets and chaps, but my hands got chewed up a bit. I was using some cheap work gloves. What gloves do you pros recommend? I need something with good grip but still dextrous.

Glad you're okay man. I've been using the Husqvarna technical gloves for years. Good protection and you can still feel the trigger. Don't skimp on gloves – I've seen too many hand injuries.

I second the Husqvarna ones. Also look for gloves with a Kevlar reinforced palm. And remember, keep a firm grip with both hands at all times – that kickback can come out of nowhere.

I use the Stihl Advance Pro gloves. Comfortable and breathable. But the most important PPE is your head and legs – you already got that covered. For hands, any logger-style glove with a padded knuckle and good grip works. BTW, check your chain tension and sharpness – dull chains cause kickback.

Thanks guys! I'll look into those. And yeah, I just sharpened my chain and adjusted tension. Probably got complacent. Will invest in proper gloves.
