DeWalt vs Makita Drill/Driver Showdown: Which One to Buy?

Alright guys, need some input here. I'm in the market for a new 18V/20V drill/driver combo. I've been using a hand-me-down Black+Decker for years, but it's time to step up. I'm torn between the DeWalt DCD791 and the Makita XFD131. I mostly do woodworking, occasional light masonry, and some deck building. I like the DeWalt because it's super consistent, but I hear Makita's got better torque and battery life. What's the real deal? Anyone used both?
