DeWalt vs Makita: Which Drill Reigns Supreme?

Hey everyone, I'm about to drop some serious cash on a new cordless drill for my side gigs. I've been going back and forth between DeWalt and Makita. Which one is the real deal for heavy-duty use? I need something that can handle concrete and metal without crying. Any advice?

I've been using Makita for years. Their drills are built like tanks, and the battery life is great. DeWalt is solid too, but I feel like Makita has the edge when it comes to torque. Plus, the ergonomics feel better for long days on the job. Just my two cents.

I'm an apprentice electrician, and I've used both on site. Makita's brushless motors are smooth and last forever, but DeWalt's chuck seems to grip bits tighter. Honestly, you can't go wrong either way. Just pick one and stick with it so you don't end up with a drawer full of different batteries like me!

I've got a collection of both, and I'll tell you this: If you're drilling 1/2" holes in concrete all day, Makita's hammer drill is a beast. But for driving screws into studs, DeWalt feels faster. I'd say get the model with the highest torque and check the weight. You'll thank me later when your wrists don't ache.
