Eye protection for drilling - what's everyone using?

Hey folks, quick safety question. I've been drilling a lot of metal lately and I keep getting chips in my eyes despite wearing safety glasses. I've tried a few pairs but they fog up or don't seal well. What do you all use? I'm thinking about getting a face shield or maybe better goggles. Any recommendations?

I feel you, man. I used to have that problem too. I switched to these snug-fitting goggles with a foam seal, they work great. But I also wear a face shield when I'm grinding or doing something real dusty. Found that combo keeps everything out. Make sure to get anti-fog coating, that's a game changer.

Honestly, I just use my prescription safety glasses. But I always make sure to angle the drill so chips fly away from me too. Also, proper technique helps more than anything. If you're drilling overhead or into weird spots, a shield is a must though.

Precision matters. I use these 3M goggles with a particle filter and they never fog. I also keep a spare pair in my truck because you know, you drop them at the worst time. And for metal work, don't forget ear plugs too - drilling can get loud! But seriously, no excuse for eye injuries. Get good gear and use it.
