Hey folks, was browsing eBay and stumbled on a Dewalt 20V Max compact drill/driver for $60. Seller says it's used but like new. I'm a Dewalt loyalist so I'm tempted. Anyone have experience with these? Should I pull the trigger?

I've used that model (DCD791) on jobsites for years. It's a solid brushless drill, plenty of torque for most tasks. $60 is a steal even used. Just make sure it's not a counterfeit. Check for serial numbers and if the seller has good rep. I'd say go for it.

Good find Tim! But watch out for battery cost. If it doesn't include batteries, you'll drop another $100+. Also, if it's an older model, the chuck might be a bit plastic-y. But if it's the DCD791, Dan's right, it's a beast. I've restored a few of these.

I'm a Craftsman guy myself, but I'll admit Dewalt makes good stuff. $60 sounds like a bargain. Just make sure it comes with the charger and batteries, otherwise you'll be spending more. Also, check the condition of the chuck – if it's worn, replacement chucks aren't too pricey.
