Is this DeWalt drill deal too good to be true?

Hey guys, found a DeWalt 20V Max XR brushless hammer drill at my local hardware store for only $99! Normally $200+. It's the DCD996B model. Is this a steal or am I missing something? I need a new drill for some weekend projects.

That's a solid price for a DCD996. Make sure it's not a refurb or blemished. Check the box for any signs of re-sealing. Even if it's open box, that model is a beast. I've got one on my truck and it handles 99% of what I throw at it. Jump on it if it's new.

I agree with DrillMaster. The 996 is a top-tier drill. I've used it for years. At $99, it's a steal if it's genuine. But watch out for knockoffs. Check the serial number and maybe test it in store if you can. Also, consider the battery cost if you don't already have DeWalt 20V batteries.

Thanks guys! It looked brand new, sealed box. I already have a couple DeWalt batteries from my circular saw, so that's covered. Picked it up and tested it at home - works like a charm. Appreciate the advice!

Nice score, Steve! That drill should last you years. For the price you got it, it's basically a no-brainer. Happy drilling!
