Just scored a $99 DeWalt drill/driver set - is this a good deal?

Found this at a local hardware store: DeWalt 20V Max XR brushless drill + impact driver kit for $99. Regularly $199. It's open box but looks unused. Think it's worth grabbing? I'm just a weekend warrior building decks and furniture.

For $99 that's a steal. I've used that exact set for years gutting bathrooms and kitchens. Brushless lasts forever. Just make sure the batteries hold a charge - open box sometimes means shelf queens. Throw a bit in and test torque. If it works, buy 2 lol.

Great deal if it's the DCD796/DCF887 combo. Check the model numbers though. There's a cheaper brushed version that looks similar. Also, inspect the chuck - if it's wobbly at all, pass. DeWalt's QC on open box stuff can be hit or miss. But if good, you're golden.

Solid for $99. I'd grab it even just for parts. The XR line is my go-to for tool restorations. You can always sell the driver if you don't need it. Might need a battery contact swap after a few years but that's a cheap fix. Go for it.

Thanks all! Checked - it's the XR set, chuck is tight. Bought it. Now I just need some good bits. Any recs for deck screws? I got some torx ones but stripped half of 'em.
