Just a friendly reminder to always wear your safety glasses when drilling. I had a close call today - a piece of metal shavings flew right at my eye, but luckily I had my glasses on. It could have been a trip to the ER. Stay safe out there!

Amen to that! I learned the hard way - got a tiny splinter in my eye once, felt like glass. Now I never drill without them. Also, make sure they're ANSI rated, not just stylish ones that don't protect.

I always wear them, but I also hate when they fog up. Anyone got tips for anti-fog or something? I end up with a sweaty face and can't see anything anyway!

Fogging is the worst. I use a little dish soap on the inside - rub it on and wipe it off. Works pretty good for a cheap fix. But honestly, $10 for a decent pair of safety glasses is cheaper than an eye patch.

Thanks for the tip Carl! I'll try that. And yeah, definitely invest in good ones. The ones with anti-scratch coating also help, so they last longer. Cheap insurance for your vision.
