Found a killer deal on a Milwaukee Fuel hammer drill at Home Depot - too good to be true?

Hey Tool Discount Club, was at Home Depot yesterday and stumbled on a clearance rack in the tool aisle. They had the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1/2" hammer drill (model 2804-20) marked down to $129 with a free 5.0Ah battery. Normally that kit goes for like $250+! It's the brushless Fuel version, not the older brushed ones. Snagged one but wondering if I should go back for another - anyone know if there's a new model coming out or if these have issues? Seems like a steal for landscaping work.

DemoDave52, that's legit. I've had that drill for 2 years doing HVAC installs - drills through joists like butter. At $129 with a battery, you basically got the battery for free. Only gripe is the chuck can get sticky if you're drilling metal all day, but for occasional use it's solid. Home Depot does these clearances when new SKUs hit. Might be the M18 Fuel Gen 4 coming? Either way, buy it.

LOL Luke beat me to it - yeah that drill's a beast. I use mine for mounting units and ductwork. At that price, I'd grab a backup. Only thing: check the battery date code. Sometimes they clearance old stock batteries that sat. If it's over 3 years old, might not hold charge great. But still, even if the battery's meh, the tool alone is worth $129. #referlife

Drywall wizard here - that drill's overkill for mud work but for framing or concrete? Gold. I saw a similar deal last month but it was the compact version. If it's the full-size Fuel, jump on it. Pro tip: if your HD has multiple, check the boxes for damage. Sometimes returns get clearanced. But yeah, not a scam - just corporate clearing shelves. Go get another before some sparky buys them all!
