Just scored a Milwaukee Fuel hammer drill for $99 at Home Depot - too good to be true?

Hey folks, was at my local Home Depot yesterday and they had the Milwaukee M18 Fuel hammer drill (bare tool) on clearance for $99. Normally see it for like $160+. It was the last one in the store, display model but looked brand new. Snagged it immediately but now I'm wondering - is this actually a good deal or am I missing something? Maybe there's a newer model coming out? I do mostly roofing work so my drills take a beating.

PipePaul98, that's a STEAL if it's legit! The Fuel series is Milwaukee's top tier. For $99 you basically got it for half price. I've been using the same one for drywall for 2 years now - zero issues even after dropping it off ladders (oops). Only thing I'd check is the battery contacts since it was display. Sometimes those get worn from people constantly popping batteries in/out.

Thanks Betty. Contacts look clean, no visible wear. My concern is whether it's being discontinued. Don't want to be stuck with a tool they stop making batteries for in 2 years. But at that price, might be worth it even as a backup. My current DeWalt is on its last legs after 3 years of roofing abuse.

M18 platform isn't going anywhere soon - Milwaukee's whole system is built around it. Even if they refresh the drill, batteries will be compatible for years. Honestly jealous! My Home Depot never has deals like that. Last 'clearance' I found was a dented bucket for $1 off lol. If it works, you scored big time.

Update: Took it to the job site today and ran it through its paces - drilled through old cedar shingles and into the roof decking like butter. Torque is insane compared to my old DeWalt. Even if a new model drops next month, this thing will pay for itself in one roofing job. Thanks for the reassurance team! Sometimes you just gotta trust the gut (and the price tag).
