DeWalt vs Makita Impact Drivers: Which One's Worth It?

Hey everyone, I'm in the market for a new impact driver and can't decide between the DeWalt 20V Max and the Makita 18V LXT. I've heard good things about both, but I'm leaning towards DeWalt because of the power. But then again, Makita's are known for their durability. What's your take? Any personal experiences?

I've only been in the trade for a couple years, but I've used both. DeWalt has a bit more torque and feels faster, but Makita is lighter and easier on the wrist over a long day. Honestly, for most DIY stuff, either will be fine. If you're doing serious decking or framing, go DeWalt. If you're doing a mix of things and value comfort, Makita.

I'm all about getting the best bang for my buck. I picked up the Makita when it was on sale with two batteries for the price of the DeWalt bare tool. That alone swung it for me. Plus, Makita has a huge lineup, so if you're expanding later, the batteries are shared. Just my two cents.

I've been collecting Makita tools for years, so I'm biased, but hear me out. The Makita impact driver might not have the raw numbers, but it's built like a tank. I've dropped mine off a ladder, abused it in the rain, and it still works like day one. DeWalt is good too, but I see more broken ones in for repair. Also, the Makita has better trigger control for delicate work. Just saying.
