Just saw this too. I was planning to head to a woodworking expo in Grand Junction in April. Guess I'll have to add extra time or find an alternate route. Anyone know if there's a good detour for a truck with a trailer?

Heard about this. CDOT always doing construction during tourist season lol. But hey, at least they're fixing the road. My buddy said the alternate route through Independence Pass adds like 2 hours. But if you're pulling a trailer, that pass can be sketchy. Might be worth the extra time.

Ugh, this is a pain. I drive i-70 every weekend to visit my folks. But you know what they say - no pain, no gain. I'm actually kind of excited to see the improvements. Just hope they have good signage and don't leave potholes like last time. Any tips for keeping my drill battery charged in the car? Long waits might be a thing.

Larry, thanks for the tip. I might just bring my power tools and do some work in the meantime if we're stuck. Sarah, I've got a 12V charger for my drill batteries - always keep it in the truck. Good thinking. But honestly, I might just stay home and work in the shop instead of dealing with the traffic.
