Just saw this article about carjackers in Milwaukee causing a huge crash. It got me thinking about all the tool theft we see in our industry. Anyone else think there's a link between these high-speed chases and stolen tools being used in other crimes? Stay safe out there guys.

Scary stuff. I've had my van broken into twice for tools. Thieves don't care about the damage they cause. Makes me want to install a GPS tracker on my expensive gear.

It's insane. I wonder if those carjackers were stealing tools too? I always lock up my stuff in a bolted-down chest. But if they're willing to crash a car into a fireball, they'll probably get to your tools anyway.

True, but we can at least make it harder for 'em. I use those steel cable locks through my tool boxes. And I never leave anything visible in the truck bed. It's a shame we have to live like this.
