Hey folks, just a friendly reminder to always wear your safety glasses when using impact drivers. I was driving screws into some hardwood today and a bit slipped, sending a chunk of wood flying right at my face. Luckily I had my glasses on, but it was a close call. Stay safe out there!

Great reminder, Will! I've had a few close calls myself. I once had a screw snap and the tip went flying. Now I never use my impact without safety glasses, even for quick jobs. It's just not worth the risk. Also, ear protection is a good idea if you're using it a lot – those things are loud.

Couldn't agree more. I've seen too many guys in the field skip the PPE. A buddy of mine lost sight in one eye from a nail that ricocheted. It changed his life. Invest in good safety glasses – they're cheap compared to an eye injury. And make sure they're rated for impact, not just fashion glasses.

Yeah, I always wear mine too. I even keep a spare pair in my toolbox because I tend to lose them. Also, make sure you use the right bits for your impact – the cheap ones can shatter. I use impact-rated bits and never had an issue. Safety first, guys!
