Found a killer deal on Milwaukee M18 Fuel drivers at Home Depot - worth it?

Hey everyone! Was at Home Depot yesterday and they had the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1/2" impact driver on clearance for $149 with a free 5.0 battery. Normally it's like $229 bare tool. It's in the clearance section near the pro desk. Is this a steal or should I wait for Black Friday? I'm just doing some drywall and framing projects around the house.

Debbie, that's actually a solid deal. I run Milwaukee on all my HVAC jobs and that driver can handle 90% of what I throw at it. The Fuel line is their pro-grade stuff. At $149 with a battery? Jump on it. The battery alone retails for $100. Only thing - make sure it's the Fuel model (red ring on chuck) not the regular M18. Some HDs mix them up in clearance.

Paul's right - that's a good price. I've had mine for 2 years doing ductwork and it's still going strong. Only complaint is it's a bit heavy for overhead work, but for drywall and framing you'll love it. Check if they have the 3/8" version too - sometimes better for tight spaces. And yeah, watch for the Fuel vs non-Fuel. Non-Fuel at that price is meh.

Thanks both! It definitely had the red ring - I checked because I remembered you guys talking about that before. They had 3 left at my store. Gonna grab one tomorrow. Appreciate the advice! Maybe I'll finally stop borrowing my neighbor's driver every weekend lol.
