Found a killer deal on a corded angle grinder - worth it?

So I stumbled on this clearance at Home Depot - DeWalt DWE402, 4-1/2 inch, 11 amp, for like $79. Normally $130. I know it's not the best, but for that price, seems like a steal. Anyone have experience with this one? My old one just died and I'm on the fence.

Rick, that's a solid grinder for the money. I've had the DWE402 for two years now, used it to cut tile, grind welds on my truck, and even some wood shaping with a carving disc. Never let me down. For $79 that's a no-brainer. Just don't expect it to be the smoothest, but it'll get the job done. I'd grab it before it's gone!

I've been in the trades for 40 years, and I can tell you, DeWalt grinders are workhorses. That model is a good one. I've got one in my shop that's older than some of you reading this, still runs like a champ. Only thing I'd do is replace the guard with a paddle switch model if you get tired of the slide switch - better for control. But for that price, you can't beat it. Buy it, man.

Gotta say, I'm a stickler for precision. If you're doing fine work, the DWE402 has a bit of vibration and the arbor runout isn't the best (I measured about 0.003" on mine). But for the price, you can always spend $20 on a better wheel or adapter. I've seen worse. For most DIY stuff, you'll never notice. Go for it, but if you plan on doing anything that needs real accuracy, save up for a Fein or something. Just my two cents.
