Just scored a crazy deal on a DeWalt grinder - is it worth it?

Hey guys, was browsing Craigslist and found a Dewalt DWE402 4.5" grinder for only $50! Claims it's barely used. Normally those are like $120+. Anyone have experience with this model? Should I pull the trigger?

Nice find! I've got the same one. It's a tank - like 13 amps and the switch is solid. One thing though, make sure it's not one of the older ones with the plastic gear housing. The new ones have metal. If it's legit, $50 is a steal.

Yeah, I use that model daily on job sites. It's a workhorse. But at that price, be careful of stolen tools. Meet in a public place and ask to test it. Bring a cutoff wheel and some scrap metal to see if it runs smooth. Also check the spindle lock and guard. If it passes, grab it!

Good points, thanks! I'll check the gear housing and test it. Seller said it's from a garage cleanout, so might be fine. Appreciate the advice!
