Hey guys, just snagged a barely used DeWalt 18V grinder off FB Marketplace for $40! Came with a battery and charger too. Seller says it's only been used a couple times. Anyone have experience with these? I mostly do woodworking but thinking about getting into some metal cutting. Good deal or did I just buy a paperweight?

Dude, $40 with battery and charger is a steal even if it's just the bare tool. I've got the same one, it's a beast. Just make sure the battery isn't old tech - those 18V NiCads die fast. If it's a newer 20V compatible one (they fit the old 18V tools), you're golden. Check the date code on the battery.

Nice find! I'd pick that up in a heartbeat for my collection. Even if it's a older model, parts are easy to find. Just don't go crazy with grinding thick metal all day - these aren't corded grinders. But for cutting small pieces or wire brushing, it'll do fine. I say you got a good deal!

Thanks guys! Battery says 2019 and it's a 5Ah, so I think it's the newer Li-ion. Gonna try it out this weekend on some angle iron. I'll report back!
