Anyone else do the tuna can test? I'm trying it this year.

Old school trick right there. I've been doing that for years. It's the best way to know if your lawn is getting enough water. Don't rely on timers alone.

I used to just guess and water every other day. But my water bill was huge. The tuna can test saved me money. Now I water only when needed.

I tried it last week. Took about 45 minutes to get an inch in my can. Thought that meant I needed to water longer, but then I realized my sprinkler was clogged. So it helped me find a problem!

Exactly. It's not just about timing, it's about checking your system. Good catch on the clog.
