Hey all, I'm in the market for a cordless lawn mower and I'm torn between DeWalt and Makita. I already have some DeWalt batteries from my drills, but I've heard Makita's build quality is better. Any recommendations? I need something for a medium-sized yard with some hills. Thanks!

I've restored both brands. DeWalt's 60V is a beast but heavy. Makita's 36V is lighter and more balanced. For hills, I'd go Makita for the weight. Plus, Makita's brushless motors seem to hold up longer in my experience.

I'm with Wendy. If you already have DeWalt batts, stick with them. But if ur starting fresh, Makita all the way. I have a Makita 36V and it cuts through thick grass like butter. Just make sure to get the dual battery one.

Thanks for the input everyone! I think I'm leaning towards Makita for the lighter weight and balance. Plus I don't mind buying new batteries. Appreciate the help!
