Found a Crazy Deal on a Self-Propelled Mower - Worth It?

Hey guys, so I was browsing at my local hardware store and spotted a self-propelled mower on clearance. It's a Honda HRX217, marked down from $799 to $399 because it's last year's model and the box is a bit beat up. I've been using a push reel mower for years, so this seems like a steal. But is it worth it? I have a small-ish lawn, maybe 1/4 acre, with some slopes. Would this be overkill or should I jump on it?

The only downside is it's a bit heavy, but the self-propelled helps. I'd say go for it, but check the serial number to make sure it's not stolen or something.

I'd double-check the condition of the engine and the deck. Since it's a display model or returned, there might be issues. Pop the hood, check the oil, look for any gas leaks.
