Snagged a Husqvarna MZ54 for $800 - Too Good to Be True?

So I was browsing Craigslist and found a Husqvarna MZ54 zero-turn mower, barely used, for $800. Retail is over $3k. The guy says it runs great, only sold because he's moving. I'm tempted to jump on it, but I've been burned before with 'too good to be true' deals. What should I look out for? Anyone have experience with this model?

Man, that IS a sweet deal if it's legit. I've had my eye on that model for a while. First thing, check the deck for rust or cracks, especially if it's been sitting. Also, ask for a cold start video. If it starts on first try, probably fine. But if it's a scam, they'll rush you. Meet at a public place with your own truck, and bring a multimeter to check the battery and charging system. Also, look for signs of hour meter tampering - if it's got 50 hours but the deck is all scratched up, run.
