Found a killer deal on a laser distance measurer – worth it?

Hey guys, I stumbled upon this Bosch GLM 50 C at a pawn shop for $40. Retails for like $150! Looks barely used. Anyone have experience with it? Should I grab it?

Nice find! Just make sure it's not stolen. Check the laser is still calibrated. I've seen guys cut off the calibration sticker before. For $40 it's a steal if it works right.

I've got an older bosch and it's been solid for rough measurements on pipe runs. The bluetooth on that model is handy for logging. I'd say go for it, but test it on a known length first.

Bosch makes decent stuff. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. You can always resell if it's not for you. But check the battery terminals for corrosion, pawn shops sometimes store stuff in damp basements.
