Hey all, just a friendly reminder to always wear your safety glasses when using measuring tools, especially tape measures and laser measures. I know it seems like common sense, but I've seen too many close calls. Just yesterday, a tape measure snapped back and almost got my buddy in the eye. Stay safe out there!

Good tip! I'll admit, I've been guilty of skipping the glasses for a quick measurement. But after hearing that, I'll definitely be more careful. Any recommendations for cheap safety glasses that don't fog up? I hate when they fog on me.

I always wear mine, no exceptions. Fogging is a pain, but you can get anti-fog wipes or look for glasses with vents. I use a pair with a foam seal, they work great and cost under $10. Also, a tip: keep your tape measure clean and oiled, so it doesn't snap back as hard.

Haha, I remember my grandpa used to say 'measure twice, cut once, and keep your eyes.' Good reminder. I've got a collection of safety glasses in my workshop, some are even cool looking. But honestly, the cheap ones work just fine. Might be worth getting a few pairs so they're always within reach.
