So I was at the hardware store and saw a 'Bosch GLL30' laser level on clearance for $30 (original $90). I've been needing one for some projects around the house, but I've never used one. Is this a good deal or is it going to be a piece of junk? Anyone have experience with this model?

Paul, $30 for a Bosch GLL30 is a steal! I've had mine for 3 years, dropped it a few times, and it still works great. It's not the fanciest with a self-leveling range of like 30 feet, but for most DIY and even some pro stuff it's solid. Grab it before someone else does!

I'll second that. I used a GLL30 on jobsites for a while before upgrading to a green beam. For interior work, it's accurate enough. Just make sure it's level before you lock it – the self-leveling can be a bit finicky if it's way off. For $30, that's a no-brainer. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Thanks guys! I grabbed it. Gonna test it out this weekend hanging some shelves. Appreciate the input!
