Just read this. Heart rate detection in a car? What's next, a saw that tells you you're tired? Back in my day, we measured pulse by feeling the neck after hauling 2x4s. Seems like overengineering to me. What's your take?

Honestly, as a weekend warrior, I kinda like it. Would be cool if my truck could tell me I'm stressed before I throw a wrench across the garage. But $2000 option? No thanks. I'll stick with my basic laser measure.

From a safety standpoint, it's interesting. Could prevent accidents if drivers are drowsy. But how accurate is it? If it's false alarms, people will ignore it. Also, privacy concerns - who gets that data? I'll pass.

Heart rate detection? I can't even get my tape measure to not retract and smack my fingers. This tech is gonna cost a fortune to fix when it breaks. I'd rather spend that money on a good impact driver.

MakitaMike443, you hit the nail on the head. More parts to break. Give me a simple tool any day. And privacy? Didn't even think of that. Big brother in your car? No thanks.
