Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade my pliers set and I'm torn between DeWalt and Makita. I do a lot of electrical work and general DIY at home. Has anyone used both? I've heard Makita's are better for precision but DeWalt feels tougher. What do you think?

Go DeWalt all the way, Dave! I've been using their linesman pliers for years and they still cut like new. The handles have great grip and they're built like tanks. Makita might be good for screwdrivers, but when it comes to pliers, DeWalt is the real deal.

Sorry Chris, gotta disagree. Makita's pliers are way more comfortable for all-day use. I switched from DeWalt to Makita and my hands thank me. The precision on their needle-nose is insane too. Try them side by side and you'll see.

I own both brands in my collection. Honestly, DeWalt pliers are tougher but Makita has better fit and finish. For electrical work, I'd lean Makita because of the ergonomics and precision. For heavy-duty stuff like twisting wires, DeWalt clamps down harder. You can't go wrong either way.

Thanks for the input, guys! I think I'll grab a pair of each and see which feels better in my hand. Appreciate the help! #toolnerd
