Just saw this article about Harley tool kits. I remember my old Sportster came with a decent little set, but my buddy's 2022 Street Glide didn't have squat. What's the deal? Link: [article url]

Man, that's a bummer. I always thought part of the Harley mystique was being able to fix stuff on the side of the road. But I guess with all the electronics now, a basic kit wouldn't help much anyway. Still, feels like a rip-off.

I think most manufacturers dropped tool kits years ago. Cost cutting and weight savings. My last Harley ('18 Fat Boy) came with a crappy allen key set and a fuse puller. I actually prefer to use my own tools, but it's the principle that bothers me.

Exactly. I carry my own kit now anyway, but for a new rider buying their first bike, it's a letdown. The article says they still offer a premium toolkit for like $200. That's a joke.

Haha, $200 for a wrench and some bits? I'd rather build my own. Harbor Freight could hook you up for $20. But you guys think it's worth complaining about? Or is this just how it is now?
