So I was browsing ebay and found a listing for a Knipex 7 inch pliers wrench, normally these go for like $60-70. This one is listed at $20 and says 'new without tags'. Shipping is free. Is this a scam or just a really good deal? I've wanted one for a while but I'm not made of money, ya know.

Careful, if it's too good to be true... I've seen fakes on there that look legit but are made of chinesium. Check the seller's feedback and see if they have a lot of sold items. Also, ask if they have a receipt or original packaging. The real deal will have the Knipex logo engraved clearly, and the jaws should be smooth and precise.

I bought a pair of Knipex cobra's from a going-out-of-business sale for $15 once. Sometimes places just want to get rid of stock. But $20 for a pliers wrench is a steal even if it's legit. Check if the seller has other Knipex items at similar prices, and read the description carefully - maybe it's a returned item with a small scratch or something. If it's counterfeit, you can tell by the weight and the feel when you open/close the jaws. I'd say go for it, but pay with Paypal so you're protected.

Thanks guys, the seller has 100% positive feedback with 200+ sales, mostly other Knipex stuff. I'll give it a shot. If it's fake, I'll just return it and leave a bad review. I'll report back when it arrives.

Good call. Let us know how it works out. And if it's real, you just got the deal of the century. Pliers wrench is a game changer for not damaging fittings.
