Harley tool kits: gone with the wind?

Yep, just read that article. It's a shame they stopped including them, but with modern bikes, I guess they think we don't need 'em. Still, I always carry a small toolkit even if I have to make it myself. It's saved my butt more than once.

Honestly, I'm not surprised. They've been cheaping out on stuff like that for years. A basic tool kit isn't that expensive, but it's one more thing to cut. For me, a plier is a must-have, especially a good pair of needle-nose for hard-to-reach spots. I wouldn't ride without one.
