Harley tool kits? What's in yours? (Pliers content inside)

Saw this article about Harley-Davidson tool kits. Made me think about the pliers I carry. I always keep a pair of Channellocks and a needlenose in my saddlebag. What about you guys? Do you still get a tool kit with new bikes?

Interesting read! I remember my old Sportster had a basic kit with a set of pliers, screwdriver, and a couple wrenches. Now it seems like they give you a credit card and a prayer. For DIYers, a good pair of pliers is essential. I never leave home without my Leatherman, but for serious work, I grab my Knipex Cobras. BTW, nice to see a pliers thread here!

Don't ride, but I use pliers all the time in the shop. That article is kinda sad – seems like everything's disposable now. My granddad's Harley had a full kit. I still have his old pliers, rusty but they work. For bikes, I'd think you'd want at least a adjustable wrench and vice grips. And maybe some safety wire pliers if you're into that. Safety first, right Sparky?

Safety is no joke, Will. I've seen too many roadside repairs gone wrong because someone used the wrong tool. A good pair of pliers with insulated handles is a must for electrical stuff on bikes. Always check your tool kit before a long ride. And if you don't have one, build your own. Don't rely on the factory.
