Just saw this deal and thought of you guys. I've had my eye on a Swiss Tool for a while, but 121 bucks is still steep. Is the Spirit MX really that much better than a Leatherman or something? For that price, I could get a dedicated set of pliers and screwdrivers. What's the verdict?

I've had a Spirit (non-MX) for about 5 years now. Quality is top notch, but honestly, for the money, only if you use it daily. I'm a budget guy, so I'd say wait for a better deal. I got mine refurbished for $80 and it's been solid. This price is okay but not mind-blowing. You're paying for the name.

I've got a Leatherman Wave and a friend has the Victorinox. Honestly, both are great, but the Victorinox has better scissors and the tools lock super solid. For $121, it's a good deal if you want one tool to rule them all. But if you're like me and have a dedicated tool bag, you might not need it. I use my multi tool mostly for woodworking around the shop, so the small screwdrivers come in handy.
