just saw this deal for the Swiss Tool Spirit MX. $121 shipped seems like a steal for a Victorinox multitool. Anyone have experience with this model? I've got a Leatherman Wave but the Spirit's build quality is tempting.

I've had the Spirit for a coupla years. It's my go-to for woodworking projects. The tools lock solid and the pliers have zero slop. $121 is a great price – I paid $150. Definitely worth it if you want something lighter than a Leatherman but still tough.

Man, that's tempting but I'm on a budget. I saw the Leatherman Rev for $50 earlier. How does the Spirit compare for regular DIY jobs? Is the extra $ worth it?

@PowerToolPete349 If you're on a tight budget, the Rev is fine for basic tasks. But the Spirit MX has better fit and finish, plus stronger wire cutters. The Rev's pliers can get wobbly after some use. For $121 vs $50, it depends how often you'll use it.

I'd say buy once cry once. The Spirit will outlast you. Plus Victorinox warranty is second to none. If you can swing $121, go for it.
